Yo yo yo what up? haha. Well I know that I've got several posts to come and they haven't been published yet. I'm sorry for that. High school has started and I'm a Freshman! Well I'm going to make this one short because i've got homework.
Well so far high school has been great. I'm really digging it, except for the frequent cussing. I like how things are going. I feel like a real teen now. But seriously, this is where I get to live life loud and it's a real faith test. I can't be ashamed to show that I'm a hard core Christian. And so far, that devil doesn't have a hold on me. I'm still standing strong. I'm prepared for the worst, expecting the good or whatever is expected, and hoping for the best. Jesus rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love him so much.
Seriously Sincere,
Dani

Definition(s) of Respect
I asked my self one time "If I were to explain the word 'respect' to a kid, how would I do it"?
Well with not even looking up the actual definition, I came up with several different usages of the word.
To me, it can represent honor. But then, you can still respect someone with out honoring them.
I also thought that showing respect means that you agree with what a person does or can show appreciation. But then you may not like what someone does or who they are, but you respect them. It can also mean that you look up to them. But there's people who I don't look up to, but still show respect to. Respect can also mean not turning you back on something. Or not underestimating. Like, I show God respect, because He can do anything. But I also do show respect to the adversary, because you shouldn't have confidence in him not hurting you. I try to stay humble. I don't mock him, for that is a trick into sinning. But I'll save that conversation for another post.
Fear and respect are different. You can be afraid of something and not show it respect. You can respect something and not be afraid of it.
But my definition of respect is acknowledging something and being conscious of what/who is doing and is capable of doing.
Actual definition: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/respect
So many Christians wonder why we aren't shown as much respect anymore. Well, besides the devil trying to beat us down, one reason is because we don't show the world enough respect. The world is a dangerous place and know body said that living for God is safe. So we should respect our surroundings. As Christians, we can't let being better than lost get to our heads. Respect is a big thing in my life.
